The second edition of Level 20’s Report on gender diversity in European private equity and venture capital shows small improvements.
The report is based on data from 13 countries where Level 20 is active but excludes the UK and Netherlands as the organisation has previously reported on figures from those countries.
Overall representation
Women now account for 24% of investment professionals, up from 20% in 2022.
Senior roles occupied by women have increased to 14%, compared to 10% in 2022.
When the UK and Netherlands’ data is included in the overall data set, the percentage of women in the industry remains 24%, although there is a slight drop in the percentage in senior roles to 13%.
