Consultation on Walker Guidelines hints at increased disclosure of board composition, ownership structures, risk management and ESG.
The BVCA and the Private Equity Reporting Group (PERG) have launched a consultation to review and update the Walker Guidelines on Disclosure and Transparency in Private Equity (Walker Guidelines).
According to both groups, the refresh is designed to ensure relevant disclosures are in place as the industry continues to grow both in scale and importance to the UK economy.
Specifically, the consultation focuses on greater disclosure around board composition, ownership structures and management activity, risk management, internal controls and ESG matters.
